As most of you know, I recently returned from a whirlwind trip to Europe to visit my very best friend studying abroad. My week and a half of traveling was absolutely surreal and filled with the most incredible views, people, and food I could have dreamt.
The first leg of the trip began in Italy where we spent our first few days strolling the streets of Rome with gelato permanently in hand. The only thing that could have pried us from the eternal city was a train ticket to the blissful, coastal town of Sperlonga.
Whether I found myself in a cobblestone carpeted ally or face to face with the Mediterranean, a wrap skirt always did the trick. From fighting the temperatures of an Italian summer and being constantly on the move, easy pieces are key. Wrap skirts provide the perfect element of effortlessness, stylishness, and not to mention the beauty of a flattering cinch of the waist.
While in Rome, I opted for a maxi length wrap skirt that I picked up at TJ Maxx. To showcase the skirt for the showstopper it is, I styled it with a plain black tank and woven sandals. For the finishing touch, my studded Michael Kors Sloan bag elevated this look to the next level! Able to convert from shoulder bag to cross body in the pull of chain, the Sloan couldn’t have been any more perfect.
Fast Forward two days and we were off to Sperlonga! This time, my wrap skirt doubled as a cover-up for the beach. Wearing my lemon one piece swimsuit (also working double time as a body suit), I simply threw on this denim wrap skirt from Akira and vwalaa, an ensemble! With my essentials in my Michael Kors basket bag, a pair of shades and a hat purchase later, I stepped off the train ready for both a seaside lunch or a dip in the water.
