Afternoon In Paris
There is always that one magnificent piece in one’s closet that’s been saved for that perfect, inevitable day. Queue the biggest drum roll of all time, because that day finally arrived for this. perfect. dress.
When I purchased this gem at Lela Boutique three years ago, I never imagined I would be wearing it while walking alongside the Seine or Monet’s Water Lilies. But as fate would have it, the consignment gods bestowed this vintage work of art into the hands of little ol’ me where it would later take up the majority of my suitcase just days ago.
From the dramatic collar and plunging neckline, all the way down to the gingham lined full-skirt, the silhouette that this rich denim fabric creates had me head over heels the moment I laid eyes on it.
It just makes you wonder where else in the world this dress has traveled.
A warm thank you to Lela Boutique for serving as nothing short of a treasure trove for Milwaukee. Those who understand the beautiful longevity of a worthy piece of clothing are certainly a friend of mine.
