Trying to move on from this chapter of my summer has began to mosey into denial level. But, exploring alleyways and museums, taking in sigh-worthy panoramas, and flying via European metros are worth dragging this sh*t out.
So, indulge me once more if you will to the mental tune of your favorite Sinatra song through three more globetrotting outfits.
#1: If there were one golden nugget of knowledge I could pass along it would be to acquire items tied to great days and epic stories; that way they become embedded throughout your day-to-day. With said nugget in mind, I splurged on this beautiful striped frock with glorious shoulder detailing on Via del Corsa. So, the next time someone compliments my wearable 1950s beach tent, I can smile like and idiot and gush about the time I dropped my entire savings to see my best friend in Rome.
#2: While strolling along the north end of Paris, I put together this look that felt like a great combination of trends and my personal style. Summer ‘17 has been all about gingham, denim, and the continuation of off the shoulder necklines. TJ Maxx seemed to concoct the perfect garment in this top by fulfilling two thirds of that list. To ante up even further, the top also hits on the deconstructed button down trend.
To keep the look simple and sweet, I styled it with a distressed white denim skirt, Target brand sandals, and accessorized with clubmaster shades, my Michael Kors basket bag, and a gold bangle.
#3: In a country where seemingly no one ‘scrubs’ in public, I wasn’t going to be caught dead in neon, logo, dry-fit anything. However, by the ninth packed outfit, I longed for something easy. Therefore, a summertime maxi seemed like a no-brainer. Maxi dresses always seemed to exude a vacation vibe to me anyway. Its light fabric wed with effortless shape and generous coverage provided the perfect throw-on. Paired with woven sandals, basket bag, humidity-ridden hair in full effect, and rose gold sunglasses, my day in the Borghese Gardens and down the Spanish Steps was picture perfect.
