Easy fashion, elusive as it may be at times, is a term we’ve all come to know and love at some point or another. Running from appointments and obligations to commitments and plans can be utterly exhausting, and outfit planning often adds additional stress.
Sometimes our biggest luxury is time, so I set out with one of this season’s biggest trends-embroidery-to demonstrate just how simple transitional outfits can be.
Daytime
With a staple such as jeans, the possibilities are really endless when it comes to styling. For a more casual, run-around ensemble I chose a pinstripe off-the-shoulder top with three-quarter sleeves. The color palette is neutral enough for a playful hint of print mixing between the stripes floral embroidery on the jeans.
To maintain this relaxed fit, I styled the embroidery with a pair of Michael Kors platform sneakers and a no-fuss crossbody by Kate Spade. With my hair down and some mirrored shades, this daytime option will dominate the first half of your busy 24 hours!
Nighttime
In order to elevate this look and any other for that matter for an evening, three boxes must be checked.
1. Elevate your shoe game-literally.
2. Shake up your styling. Whether you’re changing your hairstyle or adding on a dramatic lip, the goal is to transform your ensemble using the same key pieces, so have your fun elsewhere!
3. Add some glamour. It is the party hour after all, so hike up the drama with more rousing and posh accessories.
Following rule number one, I opted for a pair of Louise et Cie velvet pumps courtesy of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. With a pop of color, a romantic material, and a shape as classic as this one, these jeans have already stepped up a notch.
To accomodate for cooler evening temperatures and to add a little luxe, this sweater I picked up from Stephanie Horne did just the trick. The plunging back is the perfect element of surprise and purposely gave a peep to my Victoria’s Secret bralette.
To finalize the three-step checklist, accessories were in order. Without overwhelming this nighttime ensemble, I piled on a few vintage rings, fastened a stone-accentuated choker, and transitioned my Kate Spade into a clutch.
And just like that, I’ve blissfully remained in jeans, ready for early appointments all the way to drinks with my girls. Check, check, and check!
