20 Spring Must Haves
Happy First day of Spring everyone! A time for new life, growth, and above all some fresh style has finally arrived. For your viewing pleasure here are just a few of some blooming trends to have on your radar this season.
Patterns: Subdued checks (5), whimsical gingham (3), and polka dots (11) are giving floral a run for its money popping up on any and all garments imaginable this spring.
Fabrics: Delicacy and detail is the name of the game this season. From liquid satin (1) and seductive sheer (7) to feathers (10) and fringe (2, 17), there’s something for every fancy. Movement is definitely having a moment.
Colors: Saturated separates and bold hues are predicted to be red hot (17, 19), but don’t sleep on the spring classics: pastels. Taking center stage in spring collections all across Tibi, Victoria Beckham, to Tom Ford’s runway, lavender (15) is shaping up to be the pop of color we’ve all been craving.
Pants: We’ll happily be seeing a continuation of playful denim including embroidery, lacing, grommet detailing and more. In terms of silhouettes, keep an eye our for culottes and cropped trousers in breezier fabrics.
For the Feet: In the shoe department, it’s all about the modern redux. Street style gurus moonlighting as space cowboys in patent leather cowboy boots (20) and commuters reveling in the pastel Cinderella sling backs (15) has me swooning. For daily wear, throw on an easy pair of sleek mules or slides (4) for a chic ease.
Accessories: While looking through your X-girl skinny shades (8) and sporting a wide waist-belt (18) and plenty of feminine and geographic jewelry (14), you’ll be able to carry your essentials in the hottest vessels of the season: loud handbags (12) and fanny packs (9). Not to mention my favorite accessory of today: advocacy pieces (16). From a femme patch to quotable totes, vocal clothing is without a doubt the new trend.
