Just outside of the Paris city center lies what would have been the most epic MTV cribs of all time. The Palace of Versailles stands as one of the foremost examples of greed, glamour, and sparing no expense – a concept oh so foreign to a traveling student. Housing three generations of kings until the French Revolution, Versailles constantly underwent renovations and additions to reach it’s absolutely lavish current state.
Prancing through the Hall of Mirrors and around the labyrinth of vast gardens required an equally fabulous outfit.
The dramatic silhouette and color combination of this Zara shirt dress is giving me serious retro vibes and Marie Antoinette level attitude. I picked up this frock the last time I was in Europe and it felt right to return and strut it through the most fabulous property in France.
To add even more quirkiness to this already maxed out quirky fit, I cinched the ensemble using my Olga Santini patent leather belt and peaked around baroque corners with my H&M cat eye shades.
I have to say the mass amount of tourists, 7am train departure, and sweltering summer heat was worth this check off my bucket list -not to mention some serious decorating tips for my NYC dorm room!
